Overview

Community Medical Transit LLC is a privately owned, non-emergency medical transportation company that provides curb-to-curb service to and from scheduled medical appointments. We actively partner with independent contractors in numerous markets to take clients to and from medical appointments. Contractors work in tandem with the company NEMT Dispatcher who performs numerous tasks - most of which are described below. See the 'Job Description' below.

1099 Contractor Dispatcher - Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT), Dayton-Cincinnati, Ohio. Hybrid Schedule - Full time.

The Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) dispatcher is responsible for coordinating transportation services for patients who are unable to drive themselves to medical appointments or treatments.

Job Description - The job duties of 'Dispatcher' at Community Medical Transit include:

1. Receiving and processing requests for transportation services from brokers, healthcare facilities, patients, and caregivers.

2. Scheduling transportation services for riders while ensuring that vehicles and drivers are available to meet their needs.

3. Communicating with rider-clients, healthcare providers, and drivers to ensure that everyone is aware of the schedule and any changes that may occur.

4. Maintaining accurate records of all transportation requests, including rider-client information, pick-up and drop-off times, and billing information.

5. Coordinating with drivers to ensure that all vehicles are properly maintained and meet safety standards.

6. Monitoring the performance of drivers to ensure that they meet service level agreements and quality standards.

7. Resolving any issues or complaints related to transportation services, including scheduling conflicts, driver behavior, and billing disputes.

8. Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to transportation services.

9. Providing reports and analysis of transportation services to management and other stakeholders.

NEMT dispatchers often work in a fast-paced environment and must be able to multitask, communicate effectively, and manage their time efficiently. They must also have a good understanding of medical terminology and be able to communicate effectively with healthcare providers and rider-clients.

Additionally, the candidate must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to work well under pressure.

Must be located in Dayton or surrounding areas. The work structure will be comprised of a schedule that allows the dispatcher the flexibility to work from home on some days and from the office on other days.

*All above, additional benefits are dependent on the contractor maintaining acceptable, company-defined work performance standards which include but are not limited to completing a minimal volume of transportation jobs on an ongoing basis. Performance metrics are reviewed monthly. Insurance is co-sponsored.
